Big Talbot Island

I had a great birthday weekend in the Saint Augustine area; one of my favorite parts was visiting Big Talbot Island. The island is one of the only undeveloped barrier islands left of Florida's Atlantic coast and it's a beautiful example of raw nature and the remnants of destruction left by the many hurricanes to hit Florida's coast.

I am so happy my husband bought me a new camera to snap some amazing photos! Enjoy and be inspired!

Escape to Biar's Cove

My hubby and I had planned a visit Mosquito Lagoon for a kayaking trip; however we decided to pursue some fishing instead (have I ever told you how much my husband LOVES to fish?) and headed out to a secluded widelife refuge called Biar's Cove. Here are are a few pics from our adventure!

We didn't see any manatees, but we did run into some very angry mosquitos! I will be back to this hidden gem, but next time I am bringing some bug repellant.

Home Sweet Home

Hello! I have been away far too long!

I enjoyed a lovely week in California and another four days in Austin, Texas. I will update soon on my trips, but in the meantime, I wanted to share a few pictures from my weekend.

After four days away my sweet husband took me on a little date to one of our favorite local beaches- Playa Linda (I was too busy boogie boarding to take pics) and then we had a fantastic dinner at  a local legend Hot N' Juicy Crawfish. YUM!
