Spring Break in South Africa Continued

Hello! I hope you enjoyed some photos from our first week in Johannesburg. It was so great to see our friends and family and enjoy some fun activities around my husband's hometown.

During our second week in South Africa we drove six hours southeast to the Kwa Zulu Natal coast and stayed in Umhlanga Rocks (just north of Durban).  While in Durban we stayed with close family friends at the Breakers Resort and also spent a night in the Hillcrest area while visiting my husband's aunt and uncle.  Spending a week on the Indian Ocean was amazing- I didn't want to come home!

Hope you enjoy the photos!

We caught the Sharks vs. Crusaders game

We explored the nature preserve near the breakers resort.
We found a secluded beach.

We took a short trip to Hillcrest to visit more family. A gorgeous view from their home.

We explored Kloof gorge.

Gareth's aunt and uncle took us to the Nelson Mandela capture site in the Midlands.

Spring Break Orlando!

Hello! I have had lots of family visiting lately and I was so happy when I found out my good friend Susie could come down from Pittsburg to visit us in The City Beautiful (I can't think of a better spring break destination).

Susie and I go way back- college roommates, she was my bridesmaid, and friend for about 10 years! I was happy she was able to escape the cold March snow for a bit and we wanted to show her the best of Orlando while she was here.

We took Susie to several or our favorite spots: the Winter Park Farmers Market, The scenic boat tour, kayaking at Wekiva Island, and out for a fresh from Florida beer at Local Roots. Enjoy some pics below of our spring break adventure!
