Grand Canyon Part Two

Here is the second installment of our amazing Grand Canyon trip. If you missed the first post, check it out here!

Our second day at the Grand Canyon started with a sunrise-ish hike down Kaibab Trail. It is one mile down and one mile back up! Phew! I am glad we went early in the morning, it was hot by 7:30 am. Enjoy our adventure!

My camera skills were bit shaky on the trail!

Views from about 1/2 mile down into the Grand Canyon

The sunrise was amazing!

It was a tough haul back up!

On our way home. New adventure await!

This wasn't our only summer trip- we also visited Hilton Head Island, SC and Savannah, GA. More updates to come!

Lake Louisa Adventure

Hello!
I hope you had a great weekend! This weekend Gareth and I headed out west to Lake County to check out Lake Louisa State Park. It's a gorgeous park full of trails, lakes, and lots of wildlife.  We were lucky to spot, some quails, deer, new plant life and a few huge (and SCARY) spiders.
We ended our hike (about 4 miles) with a short stop at Lake Hammond and then a trip to The Crooked Spoon Restaurant, a great little independent burger joint serving up some serious eats and craft brews.

Check out the photos below!

Have fun and be locally inspired!
